ABOUT

North Marion Youth Athletics is a non-profit organization that is governed by a Board of Directors, who are responsible for managing the entire program while performing administrative duties for the organization.  All NMYA programs are supported by the board and dedicated volunteers who coordinate, manage and oversee the day-to-day functions of the program.  NMYA provides sports activities for the North Marion community for boys and girls from Pre-K through 8th grade.

Our vision is to create a supportive and welcoming atmosphere for youth athletics that is focused on the development of each individual. We strive to provide access to high-quality programs that promote the physical, mental and emotional health of all participants. We seek to foster a sense of safety, respect and community amongst our student-athletes, coaches, parents, and all other members of the sporting community. We believe in empowering our youth to reach their highest potential, both on and off the field, by providing a safe and supportive environment that encourages learning, growth, and teamwork.

North Marion Youth Athletics serves those within and around the North Marion School District.

NMYA is not affiliated with or governed by NMSD in any way.

 

The NMYA Board of Directors is responsible to appoint and support each volunteer coordinator and coaches for all the programs.  The role of the Coordinator is to manage many aspects and needs of a the program which include but not limited to:

  1. Field/Gym Usage and Maintance

  2. Uniforms

  3. Equipment / First Aid Supplies

  4. Leagues Fees/Schedules

  5. Umpires/Referees

  6. Insurance

  7. Various clinics and trainings

 

The NMYA Board holds all volunteers, parents and players to Rules and Ethics set forth by the Board and Coordinators. 

  • If the incident/issue is not of serious or timely manner, please contact the coach after waiting 24 hours. 

  • If the incident/issue is not addressed by the coach or needs escalating, then contact the sport coordinator.

  • All serious matters/issues must be reported to any one of the members of the NMYA Board.
